Psychotherapist

Callie supports adults, children, and families in navigating the complex impacts of trauma, caregiving & parenting, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. She also has experience facilitating therapeutic groups for new parents, caregivers of children impacted by trauma, and adults who have experienced trauma. She welcomes using relationships with nature as a grounding and therapeutic element, a practice supported by her certificate in horticultural therapy.
Callie practices relationally oriented and collaborative approaches that build on client’s strengths and attend to the mind, body, spirit, and larger context. With clients, she tries to cultivate an awareness and curiosity of the institutional, spiritual, and cultural landscape that shapes our experiences. She is committed to the ongoing work of growing her capacity to hold trauma-responsive, liberatory, and culturally responsive space.
Callie received her clinical social work degree from Boston University with a specialization in trauma and violence. She has worked in community mental health, early intervention, and on a grant-funded project to bring trauma treatment to children and families. Callie’s work has included research on cross-cultural parenting norms. Prior to graduate school, Callie worked in international education at the secondary and university levels.
